About

About us.

The ONE Eagle Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to support the Ozark City School System’s strategic goals and priorities by:

  • Raising and distributing funds for classroom materials/resources
  • Encouraging business and community involvement in the schools
  • Providing recognition for contributions to the school district through various programs such as the Teacher of the Year
  • Sponsoring scholarships for seniors
  • Offering incentives for student attendance

The foundation is led by a board of directors, in partnership with other stakeholders, who believe in the ONE Eagle mantra (Ozark Needs Everyone.)

In 1989, a program called OPIE, Ozark Partners in Education, was initiated which served to recognize and honor teachers of the year as well as provide grant opportunities for teachers in need of classroom materials and supplies. This program was chaired by community members such as Frank Garrett, Doug Marshall, and Susan Judah until it was dissolved in 2005 after several successful years of implementation.

With the incorporation of a new superintendent in 2021-22, discussions began with the last chairperson, Susan Judah, regarding the creation of an education foundation for the school system. After several collaborative sessions with various stakeholders, the concept of the ONE Eagle Foundation was born in 2023-24.

Mission:

To uphold the vision and priorities of the Ozark City School System through partnerships, service to the community, and enrichment of the educational experience of students and staff.
